At the 2017 first quarter meeting of the West African Federation of Engineering Organisations (WAFEO) held  at Sunyani, West Region, Ghana, the NSE President, Engr Otis Oliver Tabugbo Anyaeji FNSE (Nigeria) was unanimously elected as the President-Elect for the WAFEO.

History of WAFEO
At the Engineering Week Celebration of the Ghana Institution of Engineers held in Kumasi in 2011, the Leaders of Engineering Organizations in the West African countries unanimously agreed to establish the West African Federation of Engineering Organisations (WAFEO).

A Committee was set up to draft a constitution for the Federation which was rectified in December 2011 in Calabar at International Conference organized by the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
Since its inception, the Presidency has been on a rotational basis and Secretariat headquarters of WAFEO has been with the Ghana Institution of Engineers.

The NSE President, Engr Otis Anyaeji FNSE who was elected will take over from the Out-Going President who hails from Ghana. The Vice President-Elect is from Sierra Leone. The office headquarters of the WAFEO will remain in Ghana. The new president of WAFEO will take over in November 2017 at NSE Conference in Abuja, Nigeria

Congratulations to the Nigerian Society of Engineers for yet this great achievement.

Thank you.
