It is an unquestionable fact that engineering makes life live and that Mechanical Engineering is a key driving force behind every technological advancement. Several Engineering fields have so for evolved from this great field. 

In line with the aims and objectives of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE), NIMechE Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi (Students' Chapter) is relentlessly committed to ensuring that her members are fed with the right information at the right time. The Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE), Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Presents; NIMechE 2017. Guest Speaker: Engr. Robinson I. Ejilah , PhD. (MNSE, FNIMechE). 

Engr. Robinson Ejilah, PhD, hails from Otukpo Local Government Area in Benue State. He trained as a Mechanical Engineer at University of Agriculture, Makurdi, and obtained his Doctor of philosophy degree in Mechanical Engineering from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in 2010.           

He began his teaching career as an Assistant Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering Technology Department, Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo in 1995. He is presently a Senior Lecturer in the Mechanical/Protluction Engineering Department, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. He was the Head of Mechanical Engineering Technology Department, Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, and had served in several Polytechnic committees. He has attended 10 capacity building workshops, and member of 6 Postgraduate Supervisory Committees (3 PhDs and 3 M.Eng). He is also a COREN Registered Engineer and a member of 5 professional and learned societies, these include; League of Researchers in Nigeria, Nigeria Society of Engineers, Nigeria Institution ol Mechanical Engineers, and Solar Energy Society of Nigeria. 

Dr Ejilah has to his credit the following community service experiences: 
i. National Deputy Chairman, Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE). 
ii. Immediate Past Chapter Chairman, Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Bauchi Chapter. 
iii. Former National Council Member, Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers,
iv. Member, Research and monitoring committee,Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers. 
v. Sub-Editor, of Journal of Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineering Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers. 

This is a program designed to educate students on how to make positive impacts on themselves, their profession and Society at large. The program is expected to address key Mechanical Engineering issues, and make prospective Engineers understand and recognize the fact that the future starts now.
