Dear colleagues,
As you are aware, it is mandatory for graduates and practicing engineers nationwide to undergo refresher courses to upgrade their skills and also qualified for the membership upgrade from both NICE and NSE. As part of our effort to assist members to be up-to-date in current engineering practice, NICE has been organizing regular Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (MCPD) for members in Lagos and environs.
The objective of this course is to:
1. Provide basic needed skills and professional skills for civil engineers to remain relevant and competitive in the field of engineering
2. Provide training on software application to civil engineering works
3. Serves as prerequisite for membership upgrading
The MCPD is structured in modules and certificates awarded per unit modules. The May Edition of the Mandatory Continuing professional development organized by Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineer, NICE is here. The details are as follows:
Topic: COMPUTER APPLICATION IN STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS AND DESIGN (HOUSECAD SOFTWARE).
Time schedule: 10:00am - 12noon (first session, lectures)
12:00noon to 12:30pm (Break)
12:30pm – 3:00pm (Practical demonstration)
Dates: 8th, 15th and 22nd May 2010
Venue: U.M.M Centre, 5A, Kudirat Abiola Way Opp. Mobil Filling Station, Oregun, Lagos.
