Amphibious transport: We can create 20,000 jobs in three months – Agbanyim

Nigerian auto company, Zonda Global Motors, whose innovative amphibious bus, can create about 20,000 jobs within another three months if the Federal Government will key into the project to improve inland transportation in the nation. Speaking exclusively to the Chief Executive Officer of Zonda Global Motors, King Felix Agbanyim said, “we have the BRT type buses which can propel on land and water. During some critical conditions like floods, heavy winds, both the road transportation and other marine transportation are not efficient. These vehicles are capable of operating in high winds, rains and floods. They can drive into an area of heavy flooding and simply boat through it. “We can use these vehicles to reduce the stress of transportation in Lagos by 60%. In Lagos alone, these buses can create about 12,000 jobs. We shall reduce transport stress from Yola to Lokoja, Makurdi, Calabar, Oron, Port Harcourt and Lagos. Road construction to boost prosperity in Osun State— Adeniran Ibitoye

The Special Assistant to the Osun Governor on Engineering, Mr Adeniran Ibitoye, says  the administration’s huge investment in road construction was to promote  economic prosperity. Ibitoye stated this in Osogbo on Friday in an interview with the News Agency of  Nigeria (NAN). “ More than any previous administrations, this government has turned the state into one large construction site. ‘’This is borne-out of the realisation that Osun should get out of its previous status to evolve into a truly cosmopolitan state. ‘’We saw the need to improve on the face of  Osun.

Women engineers seek fresh insight for technological education

WOMEN engineers have once again pledged their commitment to the on-going process of national rebirth, saying that they are ready to take up the challenges for the country’s benefit. Chairman of the Lagos chapter of the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN), Mrs. Nimot Muili stated this recently during her investiture and scholarship foundation launching that the association’s ultimate aim is to stimulate women to achieve professional excellence as engineers and leaders.
