‘Create the Trophy ’ is an competition for young designers to create a unique trophy for the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering (QEPrize) 2015. The QEPrize is a £1 million award for engineering that has been of global impact on humanity.
From
fashion to fusion there is no part of our lives that engineering does not
touch.
We
are giving young people with an interest in Science, Engineering, Design, and
Art the opportunity to design the trophy for the QEPrize by entering our
‘Create the Trophy’ competition. The competition is open from 23 June
‐ 31 August.
The
winning design will be selected by our distinguished panel of judges: Ian
Blatchford (Chairman), Director of the Science Museum, Roma Agrawal,
Structural Engineer at Arup and M&S Leading Lady and Mark Miodownik,
Director of the Institute of Making, UCL.
The
final trophy will be presented by HM The Queen to the winner of the Queen
Elizabeth Prize for
Engineering
at Buckingham Palace in Summer 2015. The winner of the Create the Trophy
competition
will also receive £2,000.
