The appointment of Olorunfemi is coming on the backdrop of the successful hosting of the World Engineering Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure (WECSI) from November 2 – 7 2014, by the NSE. It was an event that brought together all engineering organizations across the world under the auspices of the World Federation of Engineering Organisations (WFEO), in Abuja.

WECSI 2014 which theme was“Development of Sustainable Infrastructure in Africa” offered the opportunity for Nigerian Engineers to lend their professional problem-solving approach to the issues of infrastructure deficit in Africa. Useful debates and deliberations were carried on during the Conference with specific focus on fundamental subjects on development of sustainable infrastructure such as Principles of Infrastructure Concessioning, Engineering Education, Research and Innovation, Business Intelligence and Infrastructure Financing.

Meanwhile, from November 16 – 20 2015, the NSE will host the Annual Conference tagged Sunshine 2015 in Akure, Ondo State, with the theme: “National Integrated infrastructure Master Plan (NIIMP) 2014 – Strategies for Implementation”, being another step indicating that the NSE has truly prioritized issues of infrastructure development.

Olorunfemi will work on the CG-LA Board with other eminent scholars from across the globe to provide market intelligence, macro-economic analysis as well as other ancillary advisory services.

Founded in 2002, the Infrastructure Leadership Forum series is an open infrastructure marketplace that provides a unique opportunity for project sponsors from both the public and private sectors to meet with decision makers from finance, engineering, contracting, equipment, technology, and services communities.
