Job Overview
The Process Engineer will report to the Senior Process Engineer and be responsible for assisting in Pipeline design elements for major offshore, onshore and subsea projects using a range of codes and standards, including API, DNV and ISO.
The candidate will be knowledgeable in Pipeline design, technology, installation, field development, FEED studies, Conceptual work and front end studies. The desired candidate will be involved in aspects of project phases through conceptual development, design, and installation.
The candidate will ensure that he’s deliverables agree with timelines and are within budget. He/she will be attending meetings and communicating with other teams on project specific pipeline issues, liaise with clients and provide leadership and mentoring to junior staff and Interns.
Roles & Responsibilities
Experience: The candidate must have at least Five (5) years relevant post qualification experience in the Pipeline design engineering function of a reputable oil and gas organization.
Requirements:
Broadly experienced mechanical engineering professional
Subsea Experience is required
Onshore experience is an advantage
A demonstrable career history showing success on large Oil and Gas Offshore projects – e.g. Platforms, Topsides, FPSO or FSO
Experience as pipeline lead on major projects is an advantage
Ability to maintain good relations with clients
Ability to prepare bids in response to tenders
Technical report writing skills
NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
Additional Requirements:
Sound analytical and technical skills.
Ability to communicate complex concepts well, diagrammatically, in speech and writing.
Problem-solving to anticipate identify and resolve problems at any stage.
Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge and experience of pipeline ancillary structures, pipeline operations and related inspection procedures.
