With deep regret but with submission to the will of the Almighty, the President, Engr. Ademola Isaac Olorunfemi, FNSE sadly announces the passing-on of a Past President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Foluseke Abidemi Somolu, FNSE, FAEng., FNIM, FIET/FIEE, (NSE President, 2002 – 2003).
Engr. Somolu, a consummate Electrical Engineer and an NSE Merit Awardee (1992), was born in Abeokuta on July 14, 1946. He died after a brief illness on Monday, August 24, 2015 at the age of 69. He is survived by a wife and children. Final burial arrangements will be announced by the family in due course.
Meanwhile, the President will lead a delegation of Engineers on a condolence visit to the Somolu family on Thursday, August 27, 2015. More information will be disseminated as soon as we have them.
