NIGERIAN INSTITUTION OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS (NIMECHE) Lagos State chapter was on Industrial visit to Friesland WAMCO PLC recently.
The chairman of the Chapter, Engr (Mrs.) Funmilade F. Akingbagbohun, noted that the visit is one out of many to come during her tenure, she added that engineers deserve the best in every facet of life endeavor.
Engr Akingbagbohun observed that the safety routine at Friesland WAMCO Plc is excellent and she advised every other manufacturing companies in Nigeria to emulate them as Safety at industrial workplace is one of paramount importance to the workers, most of whom are Engineers.
According to the pioneer chairman of the Chapter who is also a former National Chairman, Engr. Ayo Fanimokun, "The visit is ensure the younger engineers get exposed to the routine in the factory operations and also an opportunity for them to acquire knowledge and experience in the industry.
Also on the leadership with NIMechE are Engr Ganiyu Owolabi, Engr Ola Taiwo, Chairman NSE Apapa Branch, Engr Amos Komolafe Immediate Past Chairman Lagos Chapter, Engr Ibrahim Aledu, Past Chairman NSE Apapa Branch, Engr Femi Adedotun Secretary NIMechE Lagos and host of others.
