NSE Osogbo Branch and Osun State University to organise joint Induction and Award Ceremony

The Nigerian Society of Engineers, Osogbo Branch in conjunction with Faculty of Engineering, Osun State University is organising an Induction and Award Ceremony in Osogbo on Saturday 5th March 2016 at the University Main Auditorium.

The event which is the first in Osun State would combine the Induction Ceremony for the Graduates of the Engineering from the Institution and the Corporate Members of Nigerian Society of Engineers. This has been carefully packaged to encourage the Young Engineers' interaction with the experienced.

One of the highlights of the event is the Public Lecture to be delivered by the Pioneer Chairman of the NSE Osogbo Branch (1985-1986), Engr. Prof. Richard Olayiwola Fagbenle, FNSE. A Professor of Mechanical Engineering cum Energy Consultant.

The event is put together as part of the strategies toward promoting one of the cardinal agenda of the NSE President, Engr Otis Anyaeji, FNSE. The Graduates would also have the opportuinity of being addressed by the President himself as part of the activities toward their Convocation Ceremony scheduled for the March 8th & 9th, 2016.

About the Guest Speaker:

Prof Oguntola Jelili Alamu

Engr. Prof. Richard Olayiwola Fagbenle, FNSE, FNAEE, FSESN, BSME (Illinois), MSME (Iowa State), PhD (Illinois), Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Energy Consultant was the Pioneer Chairman of NSE Osogbo Branch (1985-1986) and presently the Chairman, Governing Council, Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke, Osun State.

Prof Fagbenle is the Osun State Government Consultant on the 15 MW Grid-connected Solar PV Power Plant project planned for completion in 2016.

Other activities lined up at the event are: Presentation of Awards to some Distinguished Personalities, Awards to the Best Engineering Graduating Students of the Faculty as well as the Public Lecture.
