#WorldwaterDay: HON. DAPO LAM ADESINA COMMISSIONS 5 WATER PROJECTS UNDER THE “OMO OLOORE WATER SCHEME”

The lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives Abuja, Hon. Adedapo Lam-Adesina a.k.a Omo Oloore in his bid to deliver on all his electoral promises on Tuesday 22nd March, 2016 again surpassed all expectations as he commissioned 5 water projects under The” Omo Oloore Water Scheme” in commemoration of 2016 World Water Day.

The Young Legislator who has set the ball of development and quality representation rolling since he was sworn in has once again challenged the status quo by this feat.

You will remember that he organised the 1st Ever Accountability Town Hall Meeting in the history of Ibadan, He commissioned a set of public toilets at Iso Adiye in Molete,He gave free WAEC forms to indigents students,He recently launched the Omo Oloore Business Support Scheme for traders and women,He is on the verge of completing the first phase of Vocational Training for over 300 of his constituents where equipment will be given after training.

He has also joined others to move motions on the rate of Unemployment amongst the youth and the Ibadan Dry Port on the floor of the House of Representatives just to mention a few.

Speaking on the need for access to portable water, the 2-time Oyo State Commissioner stated “My constituency represents the heart and soul of Ibadanland, which has been neglected over the years by past Representatives, as such social and functional amenities are seriously lacking but we would effect positive change and turn away the reproach”.

In his words, "during our campaign, I saw long queues where our people wake up as early as 4am and return as late as 11pm in search of water; we are determined through our qualitative representation to turn the tide around not only by providing access to portable water but by also partnering with relevant agencies to alleviate the sufferings of our constituents”.

The water projects are located in Ile Amosu @ Aremo,Agodi Gate motor park  and Ile Alapafon @ Oja Igbo in Ibadan North East Local Government while the residents of Ile Titun and Ode Ige are beneficiaries of the initiative in Ibadan South East Local Government with the 6th water project in Ayedade under construction.

At various locations of the water project, Party Leaders,Community Leaders,Party Stalwarts, Executive officers of Landlord and Residents Associations and Chairmen of Community Development Council (CDC) commended the Scion of the Lam-Adesina dynasty for his timely intervention, praying to God to open greater doors for his elevation so he can do more for the masses.

Lastly, Omo Oloore used the occasion to express his profound gratitude for their loyalty, unflinching support and prayers, he equally pledged his unalloyed commitment to turnaround the fortunes of the constituency, using all legal and constitutional means to fulfil his electoral promises.

World Water Day is held annually on the 22nd of March as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.The theme for this year's World Water day celebration is "Water and jobs"
