On the 18th of February a detailed power point presentation was successfully given to His Excellency the Governor of Lagos State by Ger Horgan on behalf of Advanced Engineering Consultants & Visible Assets Limited so as to secure the "Approval in Principle" for the delivery of the project as a "turnkey" solution. This comes after months of research and surveys as to the suitability and viability of the project.
The project involves Designing & Constructing the new 4th Mainland Bridge for Lagos City which is 42 kilometers long and contains a lagoon crossing of approximately 11 kilometers. This will be the first eastern crossing of the Lagos lagoon connecting Lagos Mainland with Lekki on Victoria Island. The project is estimated to cost in the region of $3bn and is expected to be tolled.
The project now moves into the "site investigation", extensive "Stakeholder" consultative process and "detailed design" phases so as to be on site for construction as soon as possible.
