NSE ABEOKUTA EMBARKS ON SAFETY AWARENESS CAMPAIGN EXERCISE.

The Safety Awareness Campaign Exercise organized by the Nigerian Society of Nigeria, Abeokuta Branch in conjunction with Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Ogun state Command took place today, Thursday 22nd December, 2016 at three major Motor Parks in Abeokuta metropolis, Ogun state.

The three major Motor Parks are Kuto Motor Park, Ita-Osin Motor Park and Asero Motor Park.

The NSE Abeokuta Branch Chairman, Engr. M. I. Abass, FNSE led the NSE delegation, while The TRACE State Commander represented by the TRACE PRO Officer Akinbiyi led the TRACE delegation.

At each Motor Parks, the TRACE PRO Officer Akinbiyi sensitised the commercial vehicle drivers on the need to be safety conscious, obey traffic laws and speed limits while driving and to ensure that all safety rules and regulations are obeyed at all times.

In his own contribution, the NSE Abeokuta Branch Chairman, Engr. M. I. Abass, FNSE corroborated the TRACE PRO Officer on the need to check the tyres regularly and reminded the drivers not to drink while driving.

Also, contributing at the exercise were the Chairmen of each Motor Park.

Highlight of the Safety Awareness Campaign exercise was the distribution and pasting of the Safety Awareness Campaign Stickers to the Motorists at the Motor Parks.
