In the bid to encourage the study of science subjects in secondary schools and subsequently make a carrier in Engineering, the Kaduna Branch of the Nigerian Society of Engineers held her 4th Inter-Schools Science Quiz Competition between from 11th to 12th June 2014 at the Conference hall of the Federal Secretariat, Kawo Kaduna. About 30 schools will be participating in the competition. So far the Kaduna State Ministry of Education; Biji Surgicals Limited and MicroManna Limited are supporting the competition.
The 1st day went well. A total of 24 schools participated and the schools came from all around the state. Schools such as Govt Girls' Sec School, Kwoi, Govt Science Secondary Schs Birnin Gwari and kagoro, Armed Forces Command Sec School, Jaji and a host of other privately owned schools are participating in the quiz competition

1st - Grays International School, Kaduna
2nd - Christ High School, mando Kaduna
3rd - Our Lady of Fatima Girls Secondary School, Sabo-Kaduna
