No, much event today as today was set aside for the arrival and registration of the conference participant.
Nevertheless, there were few exhibition here and there as you can see. The COREN national office @ Wuse Zone 4 was agog with august visitors who have stormed the office certificate, stamp, seal collection and payments.
I guess the COREN staffs have not had it so busy as today for a very long time.
One thing I appreciated COREN more for is the issuance of "Certificate of practice" This certificate of practice make it impossible for non engineers, expatriate who are not registered with COREN to practice engineering in Nigeria.
You we structural engineers use more of the stamp. Mine has been exhausted, so I had to pass through some scrutiny to confirm my authenticity before the can give out the stamp. With this, I was impressed with COREN; not every Tom, Dick and Harry should lay hands on the Stamp. Enclosed here is my certificate of practice (sorry, I had to remove my number for security reason. Lol!, you know Nigerians are funny).
Thus, for us here, I want to implore you that we can help COREN, by helping our Institution in reporting any engineers practicing engineering in Nigeria without a licence. Even in India, you can't practice without a licence.
Tonight there was a mini-get_together tagged "Tea Party". Only for special guest though ( All, Animals are equal, but.........(you can fill in the gap, if you care. Lol!)
Tomorrow (God keeping us save) promises to be packed filled with event as seen in the programme. There will be family session where issues of "Engineering graduated of NYSC posted to schools to teach will be discuss among others.
Pls. Stay glued to this page. Wishing you all a lovely night rest.
I remain yours in the advocacy of a veritable engineering practice in Nigeria. Thank you all.
