Engr Abu Salami delivers 2015 Lagos Engineering Lecture, as NIMechE inducts new members

INTRODUCTION
The Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Lagos Chapter in her commitment to the continuing education and training of members of the Institution and sensitizing the general public on national Development matters held her Annual Public Lecture / Induction / Award on recently at Engineering Center, Engineering close, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Chairman of the occasion Engr. Prof. Adisa Ademola Bello FNSE, FNIMechE the National Chairman of the Institution was ably represented by the Immediate Former National Chairman Engr. Ayo Fanimokun, FNSE, FNIMechE while Engr. Ganiyu Owolabi, FNSE, FNIMechE Managing Director/CEO, Banilek Ventures Limited was the Special Guest of Honour.

THE LECTURE
Engr. Abu Salami, FNSE, FNIMechE, Manager, Residential Operations, Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited was the Guest Speaker. The lecture was titled “The Mechanical Engineering Strategies for the Implementation of Integrated Infrastructural Master Plan”. He listed some critical factors for the successful implementation of the Integrated Infrastructural Master Plan. He advised state governors to initiate projects that can be completed within their tenure to avoid project abandonment and wastages of scarce resources

Mrs. Margret Oguntala, FNSE, Vice President of Nigerian Society of Engineers and Engr. Mrs. Christy Adelowo, FNSE, member, Board of Trustees Nigerian Society of Engineers. Deans of Schools of Engineering of Yaba College of Technology and Lagos State Polytechnic were present. HOD, Mechanical Engineering Department, Covenant University and Dean, Faculty of Engineering, University of Lagos who was ably represented by the HOD, Mechanical Engineering Department. The representatives of the Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering (NATE), the Nigerian Bar Association, Lagos Branch and Nigerian Institution of Building, Lagos branch were also in attendance. Over 120 people attended the event.
