2015 Global Infrastructure Report: Olorunfemi joins Advisory Board.

The President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Ademola Isaac Olorunfemi, FNSE, has been appointed to the CG-LA Advisory Board for the 2015 Strategic Top 100 Global Infrastructure Report. In a mail conveying news of the appointment, Tamara Essayad, the Executive Director of CG-LA Inc., a United States-based Infrastructure Research and Development organization, stated that Olorunfemi’s appointment was informed by his valuable participation and contributions to the Global Infrastructure Leadership Forum series over the years.   The Strategic Top 100 Projects Reports are CG-LA’s annual lists of the top infrastructure projects in regions that complement the Leadership Forum series, which include Africa and, by implication, Nigeria. The Reports focus on existing and future projects, capturing the true reality and opportunities of the infrastructure market. •It is sad that the claims on his drug had to become subject of litigation The controversy over Dr. Jeremiah Abalaka’s claim to have patented a vaccine for the treatment of HIV has refused to go away. Of note, 15 years after the federal agency, National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) banned the doctor and his vaccine, a Federal High Court presided over by Justice Binta Nyako, has lifted the ban on the use of the vaccine. According to media report, the court also restrained the Federal Government and NAFDAC from further interfering with the use of the vaccine. We hope the judgment of the court is only to enforce the rights of Dr. Abalaka, to be treated fairly as ‘an inventor’ in accordance with the law, and not to grant him a free reign, not to submit to standard regulation, as provided by extant laws on authentication of medical discoveries. The duo President of COREN (Engr Kashim Ali FNSE, mni) & NSE (Engr Ademola Isaac Olorunfemi FNSE) have landed in the State of Osun ahead of tomorrow's inauguration of the Engineering Regulation Monitoring (ERM) Inspectorates. First of its kind in the Country to have the Presidents in the State and for such an assignment in the history of Nigeria. Engr. Olusola Temitayo Obadimu Assumes Office as New NSE Executive Secretary

  Engr. Olusola Temitayo Obadimu, MNSE, has commenced official duties as the new Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Society of Engineers. The outgoing Executive Secretary, Engr. Ahmed K. Amshi, FNSE at a brief ceremony which held at the National Engineering Headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday, 6th January, 2014 presented the handing over notes to Engr. Obadimu. Engr. Amshi congratulated him on assumption of Office and urged Engr. Obadimu to deploy his wealth of experience in the administration of the Secretariat with a view to upholding the ideals of the Society. Engr. Amshi thanked the Council and entire membership for the opportunity given him to serve the Society in the capacity of the Executive Secretary since 2008 - 2014. While also thanking the management and staff for the cooperation which enabled him to succeed while in Office, he urged the staff to extend the same cooperation to the new Executive Secretary.     Engr.
